Seit mehr als 5 Jahre warte ich und glaub ihr verarscht mich ... Immer wieder wird die warte Lister verlängert, verbummelt also neu gestartet oder es gibt Monate lang keine Updates wenn man sich wieder melden kann um auf die Liste zu kommen - Leute mein Leben steht still / is das nicht in gewissen Maße Unterlassenen hilfe leistung Ich will gar nicht wissen wer hier schon beim Warten auf Hilfe von uns gegangen ist ?

Wann wird es endlich neue infos geben Seit bestimmt fast nem jahr gucke ich regelmäßig auf eurer website nach und dort steht immernoch das selbe, dass keine anfragen bearbeitet werden können..ich und bestimmt auch viele andere menschen brauchen dringend diese hilfe!(diagnose)

I have attended multiple appointments at the Centrum für ADHS, Berlin and I want to provide a review of my experience. My review is accurate to the best of knowledge and ability.

To begin, I visited their website and applied for a first-stage diagnosis session. It did take some time for them to follow up on my initial application for an ADHS diagnosis but eventually they called me and scheduled an appointment. The doctors working there are very friendly. I never felt rushed while I attended my appointments. I particularly love that some of the doctors can speak English, as this does help a lot - I speak German but much of psychiatric medical terminology is unknown to me.

It is also really great that they are doing research into adult ADHS and the doctors do seem to be truly passionate about this field of study.

I would love to give a 5 star review based upon the above but I can't. The reason that I am giving 2 stars for my review is the abominably poor organisation of the Centrum für ADHS. I am going to split the next part into two sections.

1. How easy is it to contact the Centrum für ADHS?

Terrible by email and OK by phone but nobody ever follows up. Turning up in person has been the most effective way to resolve issues.

To date, I have sent three emails and not a single one has been replied to (The emails were sent on: 7 Feb 2022, 24 Oct 2022 and 24 Oct 2023). The email address that I contacted is listed on their website and I can confirm that the inbox is receiving my emails.

I also reached out by phone and the receptionists in the Centrum told me that everything that I said was clear and that they would call me back once they had checked with the Ärztin. I never received a call back.

Frustrated, I turned up in person to the Centrum but the Ärztin was on leave, so they made me an appointment for me, one week in the future. When I turned up for that appointment, it was quite clear that the Ärztin wasn't at all prepared for our session, so we then had to schedule another appointment, two weeks in the future.

2. Did I receive a final decision about whether or not I have ADHS?

Edit: Yes. It took 13 months. Read to the final update edit section below for the resolution.

My first session was at the start of November, 2022 and we are now more than *one year* later with no resolution. I even went in person today (16 November, 2023) to ask for an update but the Ärztin is not working and there are no notes left in my patient file. It seems like they still have not yet written the final diagnostic document, which should have been done 5 months ago. So now I am waiting for a phone call and hopefully unlike last time, they will call me back and finally there can be a resolution. I will update my review accordingly, if and when this happens.

04.12.23 edit: I never received a call/email back as mentioned above. After waiting for two weeks, I went to the center in person. Once again the doctor was not working and the reception staff could not tell me anything and again promised me that someone would get back to me. I'll go back this Friday (08.12.23) and hopefully I can finally get to see the elusive doctor in person because it seems that I'm never going to get a call back from them.

08.12.23 final edit: the diagnosis letter came through the mail, at last. Still no call back or email to acknowledge any of my previous emails/calls/visits. I even wasted my time going to the center on that day because the post has not yet been delivered - the receptionist had no idea that the diagnosis letter had already been written and posted to me. I returned home to find the letter waiting in my postbox. It's a surreal feeling that this process is finally over

Final thoughts: I did finally receive a diagnosis, so I have upgraded my score to 2 stars. It would be nice to leave a higher score but I'm still disappointed with how disorganised the process was and how much of a struggle it has been.

I do wish the best for the doctors and psychologists working at the center and I hope that the issues I mentioned can be fixed.

very bad service , made me wait 3 months for an appointment , than told me they gave all of them up . also 50 min to answer a phone call .
