Dr. Mazahery is an experienced, skilled surgeon. He cares about his patients and it really shows. I recently had cervical spine surgery and appreciated the thorough and detailed guidance he provided before, during and after the surgery.

Dr. Mazahery did a great job on my spine. Hopefully my progress will continue as positively as it has so far. I am 40 days post-op, and I feel great! I was easily a 10 on the pain chart prior to my operation. I required assistance to check-in for surgery due to the extreme pain. Also, I have been off narcotics for 14 days. As far as I am concerned, Dr. Mazahery is the best.

My first appointment with Dr. Mazahery lasted less than 20 minutes, after waiting over an hour, he was late. He didn't answer the many questions I had and literally left me with the words in my mouth as he rushed out of the room to the next appointment.
My Primary Doctor and I were concerned by the report of my recent cervical x-rays, as my condition was worse.
Doctor Mazahery showed me some images on a screen and I asked him if they were the recent ones and he told me yes, but I noticed that he was talking about the diagnosis I had 2 years ago and that my condition was mild without taking into account the new things that appear in the recent report. I insisted on this through messages, and asked again if the doctor had seen the recent images. The answer through the Ortho Virginia portal was that he saw my recent images. Well, I confirmed that this is not the case, I am seeing another doctor and the recent report and diagnosis is totally different. Furthermore, what is written in the doctor notes is not true! The notes say that we talked about changes in my lifestyle, that he touched my cervical area, that he looked at the alignment, and that is not true! He only talked about physical therapy and gave me the prescription for that.
This to me is not only some kind of malpractice, but also rude in the way he treated me by not caring about my questions and a complete lack of concern for the patient.
I will never go to this place again, and I don't recommend it!

Doesn’t seem to really care about his patients, especially if you are an in the line of duty disabled Veteran. He never spends more than 5-10 mins with you during a visit and doesn’t respond to messages via the patient portal. You might have served your country and been injured for your country but as soon as you say you are a Veteran, he stops talking to you. I wrote him on January 23, 2025 and sent a follow-up message on January 30th and it is now February 10th and he has not even acknowledged my message with my question. Find another spine doctor, especially if you are a Veteran as Dr Mazahery must not be pro Veterans. He is going to respond to this review that he can’t respond to this review according to Federal law but just know he doesn’t respond to you via his secure patient portal either after visiting him multiple times and having an MRI referral from him that shows how my condition has gotten worse. See pictures of his lack of acknowledgment or response.

Dr. Mazahery was great! I appreciate him being so thorough in explaining my diagnosis with me. He has amazing bedside manner. Allowed me to ask questions without feeling rushed. Front desk was extremely kind along with the clinical staff. Def recommend. 5 stars
